Who I Work With
I enjoy working with adults, couples, and families who want to better understand themselves, strengthen their relationships, and navigate life’s challenges. I am particularly passionate about helping couples improve communication, rebuild emotional connection, navigate conflict, and develop a deeper understanding of one another. I also support individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, life transitions, and the effects of past experiences on their current relationships.
My goal is to create a therapeutic space where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered to explore their experiences without fear of judgment. I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds and recognize that every individual, couple, and family brings a unique story, set of strengths, and perspective to therapy.
Areas I Help With
I help clients navigate relationship challenges, communication difficulties, anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, stress, family conflict, life transitions, emotional regulation, and difficulties establishing healthy boundaries. I am especially interested in helping couples and families recognize unhelpful patterns, improve emotional understanding, and develop healthier ways of relating to one another.
I also support individuals who are working through interpersonal difficulties, building self-esteem, strengthening coping skills, and making meaningful changes in their lives. My clinical experience has reinforced the importance of understanding each client’s experiences within the context of their relationships, environment, and personal history. I strive to help clients build on their existing strengths while developing practical tools that support lasting growth and emotional well-being.
My Approach to Counseling
My approach to counseling is collaborative, compassionate, and trauma-informed. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), I consider how relationships, family dynamics, past experiences, and emotional patterns influence the way we think, feel, and interact with others. I draw on family systems principles, person-centered therapy, and evidence-informed interventions to help clients gain insight and develop healthier ways of coping and connecting.
I am particularly interested in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and its emphasis on understanding emotional needs, strengthening attachment, and creating more secure connections in relationships. I believe that many relationship struggles are not simply about disagreements but also about underlying feelings, unmet needs, and patterns of interaction that can leave people feeling disconnected.
My style is warm and conversational, while also being intentional and goal-oriented. I work alongside clients to identify patterns, explore difficult emotions, build effective communication skills, and practice strategies that support meaningful change. I believe therapy should be a place for honest reflection, practical growth, and greater self-understanding.
