Who I work with:

Hello, thank you for your consideration and courage in pursuing therapy for your mental health. I'm looking forward to working with you. I enjoy working with adults, including professionals, student athletes, parents, couples, men, women, etc, who are willing, even if a bit nervous, to pursue improving their well-being, work-life balance, relationships, families, symptoms, and everyday stressors. Also, I enjoy helping adolescents understand their personal identities while navigating their everyday stressors including school, family, peer-related, and personal difficulties. I also work with children, ages 11 and older, who are dealing with family, emotional, and behavioral concerns. I try my best to help any family or client who is willing to do the work while receiving adequate support and encouragement throughout services from me.

-Areas of help with:

I work primarily with adults, adolescence, and preteens struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship difficulties, mood swings, grief, trauma, family conflict, daily stressors, life transitions, behavioral challenges, parenting stressors, and anger. I'm willing to help any person who is curious in their own personal experience for growth and healing.

-My approach to counseling:
I provide a warm, personal, and empathetic experience while encouraging clients through challenges with directness when appropriate. I assist clients in challenging and gaining awareness of their own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that may affect their own personal experience and relationships. I want to each session to feel like a personal conversation to better learn about yourself. Also, I help clients notice the differences and exceptions in their experiences through gaining awareness of their own strengths that may help them through any personal or relationship difficulties.

-What you can expect working with me:

My goal is to help clients heal through self-learning, gaining skills, and identifying things that are in way of their growth and goals. Hopefully from this, you will be able to navigate any experiences with additional support and belief in yourself.

-Telehealth / in person availability:

I provide primarily virtual telehealth therapy sessions, however I am in-person on Wed by request.

I'm looking forward to working with you with the hopes of supporting you through your journey as you learn to help and love yourself. If this sounds like you, feel free to contact Virginia Counseling Associates to schedule a session. Looking forward to meeting you.

Best,
